Growing up in Edmonton, Colleen's early interest in animals led her to a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Animal Behaviour at the U of A while training the only dolphins on the prairies (yes, you're right if you thought of WEM!) She continued training, researching, and being in front of the public for almost two decades all around the world in places like the Bahamas, Florida, Las Vegas, and Denmark before she came back to Canada to be with family.


Soon, Colleen became fascinated by the extreme desert conditions of the Mojave Desert and its impact on athletes. While organizing Adventure Races and Trail Run races in and around Las Vegas, Colleen's interest in the health and performance of the athletes at her race events led to her create nutrient dense, superfood laced performance snacks. But when the athletes kept coming back for the great taste her creativity took over and she wanted to diversify and create snacks and desserts for everybody.


After a short stint creating her own desserts in Canmore, AB, Colleen decided her market for delicious, specialized, superfoods should be expanded and so she took an opportunity as the Lead Dessert Chef at Noorish Conscious Eatery here in Edmonton. There she concentrated on raw food and vegan cuisine but wanted to expand superfoods' nutritional benefits to everyone. And what food is more Super than Chocolate, right!?

Her current obsession with all things chocolate has led her to become a Master Chocolatier/Chocolate Maker and take the step into entrepreneurism with www.colleenschocolates.com where she focuses on her online shop, keeping up-to-date social media links, and  the all important information about where to find her next show.
